Joanna Dietz

Jo is a graduate of Crane School of Music way up near the Canadian border in New York. She majored in music education with an emphasis in voice. Jo received her MA in Theological Studies from Wesley Theological in 2005 and was ordained a deacon in the United Methodist Church in 2010. Her love of people who do not seem to conform to the ideals of church life have led her to work with people on the streets of Winchester and to her current position working at the farmer’s markets being present with a rainbow cross and Pride hat. She is seeking to build community with those who have been wounded by the church through weekend markets and within the community. Jo also is one of three co-instructors for certified lay ministers, or CLMs for the VAUMC and NYUMC and a life coach. She received her dMin from Wesley in 2022 with an emphasis on lay leadership in the church. When Jo is not at the markets or working in the community, she enjoys reading books, baking, and playing board games.
