We are a community of individuals who care for our classmates and others in the Mount Olivet family by attending to personal joys and concerns. We read and discuss scripture studies and books by contemporary theologians and other writers selected to bring insight to our spirituality. We understand that individuals are at different points along their spiritual journeys, which provides for meaningful, enlightening, and fun Sunday morning discussions.

The Village

This class is geared towards preschool and elementary parents looking to explore faith formation within a family context. We'll have adult conversations about faith, raising kids in the church, best ways to talk with our children about current events, and how to help our children explore God's presence as they go out into the world. Can't make it every week? Not many of us can! Even if it's once a month, we're glad to have you.

Spirited Parents

Parenting doesn’t end, it evolves. The Spirited Parents fellowship group is here to help you on your family’s journey through the high school and young adult years. If you’re looking for ways to connect with parents of older “kids,” we’d love you to join us! We are an easygoing group that meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays. In the past, we’ve discussed topics such as technology use, teens and faith, and young person mental health, as well as faith-based studies. What issues are important to your family? We’d love to dive into them with you!

Sunday Study Group

This class was founded over 50 years ago with lots of changes during that time. A 1972 member would not recognize the hybrid model which now brings us together each Sunday in person and via Zoom to study and grow our faith. We’re multigenerational, learning from each other, as we select a book or video series to discuss. Some recent studies have included When Bad Things Happen to Good People by Rabbi Harold Kushner, Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis and Wholehearted Faith by Rachel Held Evans.

Grace & Mercy

First Sundays at 10:15 AM

As women, we are also mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, partners, and friends that need to extend grace to ourselves and mercy to others as we walk together in faith. Each month, we will look at the stories of prominent women of the Bible and the teachings of Jesus as we discuss topics that are pertinent to the unique joys and challenges of Christian women. We meet on the first Sunday of each month in L4 (library), 10:15 AM. We look forward to having you!
