Faith and Fellowship

Sundays at 10:15 AM
Room L8 (and zoom)

We are a community of individuals who care for our classmates and others in the Mount Olivet family by attending to personal joys and concerns. We read and discuss scripture studies and books by contemporary theologians and other writers selected to bring insight to our spirituality. We understand that individuals are at different points along their spiritual journeys, which provides for meaningful, enlightening, and fun Sunday morning discussions.

Mini-vangelism Parent's Group

Sundays at 10:15 AM
Room L9

This class is geared towards preschool and elementary parents looking to explore faith formation within a family context. We'll have adult conversations about faith, raising kids in the church, best ways to talk with our children about current events, and how to help our children explore God's presence as they go out into the world. Can't make it every week? Not many of us can! Even if it's once a month, we're glad to have you.

Connections

Connections is a small group that focuses on connecting relationships with our faith, the Bible, and each other. Class studies offer an informal atmosphere for nurturing spiritual growth and seeking wisdom, no matter where you are in your journey. Class members collectively select topics of study, resulting in an eclectic mix.

Spirited Parents

Bi-Monthly, Sundays at 10:15 AM
Preschool Wing S-15

Parenting teens comes with its peaks and valleys, and the Mount Olivet Spirited Parents Sunday School class is here to help you on your family’s journey through the middle school, high school, and young adult years. Whether you’ve been a part of Spirited Parents before the pandemic or are brand new, if you’re looking for ways to connect with parents of older kids, we’d love you to join us. We are an easygoing group that meets the 2nd and 4th Sundays. In the past, we’ve discussed topics such as technology use, teens and faith, and teen mental health, as well as faith-based studies. What issues are important to your family? We’d love to dive into them with you!

Sunday Study Group

Sundays at 10:15 AM
Youth Area (and Zoom)

9:30 Study Group is the original Mount Olivet adult Sunday school class.  We’ve keep the original name even when class times change. We’re multigenerational, learning from each other.  We select a book and discuss a chapter each week or use a video series when we want a break from reading ‘homework.”  Our book for Fall 2023 is the classic When Bad Things Happen to Good People by Rabbi Harold Kushner available at local libraries or new/used bookstores.  Get some coffee then join us in the Youth Area or email Kristen for the Zoom link.
