The play for this upcoming season is called Three (K)nights in Camelot by Tom Akers.
Synopsis: Three middle school friends, Jenny, Jerry, and Brendan are working on a school project about Medieval Times when they are transported back in time to King Arthurs Court by an App Brendan makes on his phone. They come to the aid of Lady Silvy and Duke Dudley when they discover an evil plot to take over Arthurs Court by Lord Alastar. They, along with a cast of misfits must try to defeat Lord Alastar and his henchmen in the annual Tournament of Champions. Will the three help Lady Silvy and Dudleys Knights save Camelot or will they be defeated and sent to the dungeon for the rest of their lives? Will the three ever get back home to the modern day? Join this large cast in a hilarious two act farce which has roles for every level of actor in Three (K)nights in Camelot!
Auditions will be held October 1 and 2 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM in the youth area. All youth must prepare their own monologues. Appalachia Service Project 2027 Mission Trip
Registration opened up on September 15, 2026 for the summer 2027 mission trip! It is a highlight of the last couple of summers to get together and share this unique and fulfilling experience with so many Mount Olivet youth, parents, and young adults. I am looking forward to next summer. The deadline for sign-ups is October 30, 2026. ASP typically lets groups know where they will be serving late spring, but we will be requesting Jonesville, VA again, but it is not guaranteed. It is based on where they need the most support and the project schedule for each season.
The cost is $375 per volunteer (youth or adult). If you need any support with the fee, please contact Evan at ehannah@mtolivet-umc.org
