Rise Against Hunger Update!

On March 2, we packed almost 12, 000 meals with the $7,000 raised from the Advent offering. Many thanks to everyone who supported and attended our powerful community-wide event! Our shipment is on its 2+-month trip to Burundi, a land-locked east African country with an average annual per capita income of $193. Burundi is surrounded by Rwanda, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Besieged by frequent droughts and floods and ongoing problems with political instability, Burundi is one of the poorest countries in the world. Malnutrition is widespread, especially among children. Our food shipment will bring a year of hope and nourishment to hungry children. We will keep you posted when we learn of our shipment’s final destination.
