Celebrating Our New Space — Dedication

We are excited to report that Mount Olivet has passed our fire and building inspections! This Sunday, April 12, the congregation will be able to enter the gathering space at the 16th Street or Glebe Road doors and have access to the elevator. Given that we are still cleaning and moving into the spaces,  we will only open the Gathering Space this Sunday and coffee service will be outside of the preschool doors on the opposite side of the sanctuary.

On April 19 at 10:30 AM, we will have a dedication of our new space in the Sanctuary with a cake reception to follow. You will have an opportunity to tour the fire-side of the building. There will be no children's Sunday School. Adult classes have the option to decide whether they want to meet or not.

On May 2 from 2-5 pm, we invite you to attend the Open House celebrating the restoration of a major portion of the church, which was damaged in a devastating fire over three years ago. We will host a short program in the sanctuary at 3:00 pm.

As Arlington’s oldest church in continuous ministry at the same location, we will celebrate our 170 years on this site as well as current ministries that enrich our community. 

‍

The Open House will feature activities throughout the afternoon, including activities for children.  We welcome you at any time, and especially for the 3:00 pm event.
