We will be celebrating Thanksgiving soon but what do we really know about the Native Americans who welcomed the Pilgrims? What do we know about the Indigenous experience since Contact? Would you like to learn more?

On Monday night, November 27 at 7 PM Christine Duckworth, a Native American member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, will speak to our Racial Equity Team and you are invited.

She is a board member of the Baltimore American Indian Center which supports Native families living in an urban environment. We met Christine recently at the National Gallery of Art where BAIC presented an educational program of dance, music and cultural information for educators and the general public.
